Hold me ?

Late nights filled with burning,

Long days made with yearning

Late nights filled with learning

Learning to live without you 

Learning to breathe without my lungs

Learning to walk alone

Needing you, your light and dark 

Save me, save us, wherever you are

Briar.

You’re a liar
Do you have any idea Briar where liars go?
You’re a heathen 
Do you have any idea Briar where heathens go?
You’re a demon
Do you have any idea Briar where demons go? 
You’re the love of my life
Do you have any idea Briar, what I would give for you?
My demonic lover
You seduce me like no other 
Pulling me into your dark cover
Your voice echoing like that of a choir
But I must remember dear Briar 
You are nothing but a loving liar

Nightmares

Evenings laced with embers and mornings filled with broken dreams.
The fears of a midnight strike our wonderings as our mares of fright wander our vision at twilight. 
Until dawn breaks and mares of our own invention follow us from sleep.
The clock ticks but not nearly fast enough.
It seems but an eternity to awaken.
Oh, these broken dreams, distorted and unclear of means.
Memories of brighter times fill our broken minds.
stranger things have happened perhaps they will just fade.
For some, they are as real as you or me.
It affects their lives so differently.
could they be real or are they simply shadows of our thoughts.
If so  we are deranged to the highest degree.
